What is PTSA?
Mission Statement: Parents, teachers and students working together to make a positive difference for Pilot Butte Middle School.

PTSA is an association formed of parents, teachers and students who have submitted an application (basicly name, address, phone) and paid $10.00 annual membership dues. This group meets to discuss current school issues, bring ideas for school improvement, needs, concerns and fundraising. Issues are voted on and decisions are carried out by the board and general members.

How to Join
It's so easy! Just stop by the school office and pick up an application form. Return the application with a $10.00 check, per new member. Your student can be listed as a new member on the same form as you. Then you can come to meetings, voice your opinions and share your great ideas for the school. That's it!

Did you know...
For every member (includes students, too), $1.00 goes into the PTSA resource fund to help pay for issues voted on by the members; such as new computers, new books, new track, new basketballs, etc. Have you ever thought the "school" should get something you thought would be useful or that "they" should do something in a different way? Then you should join and come voice your ideas and opinions! We really want to hear what you have to say!

Safeway
When you make a purchase at Safeway and use your Safeway card, you will be helping to support the school of your choice. Just visit escrip.com and sign up to support your school. Anyone Safeway Club Card holder can do this and it's FREE.

Albertson's also contributes to local schools in the same way. Visit albertsons.com then click on "in the community", then "Community Partners" and take advantage of this free opportunity to help our schools and our kids. It's that easy!

Washington Mutual Bank debit card holders can earn points with every purchase using your card. At the end of the year those points are coverted to dollars and donated directly to the school of your choice. To sign up just go to wamoolaforschools.com, then check your school's total points, refer friends or download material to help spread the word.

Pass it on to your friends and family - even if they don't have kids, your kids could be their future lawyer, doctor or banker!

Fundraising sponsored by PTSA
In 2005 PTSA gathered a group of awesome parents and teachers who were willing to volunteer their time and energy to put together the FIRST EVER - Pilot Butte Middle School GIANT GALLOP & CYCLYNG EVENT. Money raised went directly to the school to fund literacy program, music programs and pay to play athletic scholarships. This event raised over $10,000 in 2005 and $ 8,000 in 2006, with the help of generous business donations, BUT more importantly, the students helped raise money to support their school. This event was a school wide, all student fun activity and we look forward to repeating this event again in the fall of 2008.
