EXECUTIVE BOARD AGENDA
for October 17th, 2007, 5:30 p.m.

1. Call to Order
a. Meeting was called to order at 5:35 p.m.
2. Correspondence
a. We now have 51 total PTSA members! We gave teachers who are PTSA members cookies and bottled water during conferences as a thank you for their support. We had a 6 foot Subway Sandwich (donated) for all teachers to have during conferences.
b. Need to send thank you note to Subway for sandwich donation.
3. Old Business
a. Automated phone system is up and working.
b. The school website is up and running! Many thanks to Heather and her group for their hard work. Please email Heather or Stephanie if you have items or announcements you want posted.
c. The Box Tops drive submission date has been moved up to 10-31-07 for this school year.
4. Treasurer’s Report
a. Kelli reviewed last month’s deposits. Lifetouch and PTSA dues were deposited.
b. The following adjustments to the budget were made:
i. Increased Reflections to $240.
ii. Eliminated “Student Enrichment” Grant and moved those dollars to the Scholarships total.
c. Budget was approved with changes.
d. Kelli to submit budget by 11-1-07 to comply with deadline.
e. Reimbursement check issued to Denise for $60 for Subway sandwich purchased for teachers for conferences.
f. Check for $50 was written to submit our annual report to Corporation Division for the State of Oregon.
5. New Business
a. Change in PTSA membership dues to $10.
b. Kelli will send an updated PTSA list with contact information as the membership changes.
c. Sue will send phone numbers of Board members for contact information (see attached document).
d. Our newly updated and functional website will be highlighted in future PBMS newsletters.
e. Book Fair didn’t occur this fall due to a scheduling error. We will do one in the spring.
f. A volunteer translator is needed during conferences. If anyone has any contacts for this please let Stephanie know.
g. Stephanie has 3 Family Nights scheduled to encourage school/family involvement and participation. The theme is “Dinner and a Movie”. Families are invited and encouraged to come and enjoy a movie at no charge, simply bring lawn chairs or blankets and have a fun, free family movie night! Concessions and pizza will be available to purchase (also a fundraiser idea). PTSA members will help with concessions. This will not be a “drop off” event, and students need to be accompanied by a parent. The movie nights will be scheduled on a Wednesday, from 6:00-8:00pm.
6. Fundraiser Ideas
a. Karaoke Singing Event for students – Heather Brisk’s suggestion.
b. Selling concessions at the Movie Night. Utilize PTSA members to help sell the concessions.
c. Utilize a link from the PTSA website to fundraising ideas that anyone can participate in, which will support the school (passive fundraising) – Denise’s suggestion.
