In February 2003 I participated in the effort to recover parts from the space shuttle Columbia in Palestine, Texas. There were 35 (20 person) Forest Service and Beaureau of Indian Affairs crews there assisting in the search operations. We sent a crew from Central Oregon to Texas, for two weeks, and we were there to help with the search operation.
