I was
helping to run a supply cache that was giving essential
supplies to the federal workers organizing the
operation. The
slides in this series show our operations at Stennis
Space Center near Waveland, Mississippi where we stayed
.
In
September 2005, shortly after Hurricane Katrina scored a
direct hit on the Mississippi and Louisianna coast
I joined a recovery team headed by FEMA that
operated a base camp st Stennis Space Center in Hancock
County, that supported FEMA recovery teams, debris
removal crews and crews running distribution centers
giving out essential supplies to the people stricken by
Hurricane Katrina.
