Zion National Park

Zion is a land of beautifully red rock canyons. Well at least one canyon anyway. I spent two days there and got to see most of the good front country stuff .

Here's some photos............

I entered Zion on the east side of the Park.

It is very diferent over on this side of the park with beehive shaped rock formations of many colors.

The trail climbs up the nose of this narrow ridge with posts and chains serving as handrails.

Walter's Wiggles.

The trail to Angels landing goes up this sheer cliff and to get it up to the top of the cliff they had to put in these switchbacks.

The Virgin River.

This is along the trail to Angels Landing along the Virgin River. There's a blooming yucca in the foreground

Hidden Canyon Trail.

The fun part of the Hidden Canyon Trail heads up along ledges on the edge of a cliff with chains serving as handrails.

The free shuttle bus.

Riding the shuttle bus is mandatory in Zion. It is not such a bad thing. It makes it easier to see the whole area.
