LUKE, KAREE & BRAEDEN MILLER
|
Greetings from the Miller Family! With the birth of our son Braeden I decided that the best way to show him off was to create a website! We're all very excited to introduce you to the Miller family!
UPDATE 06/05/2005: Braeden is doing very well. He had his first shots on Friday 06/03/05 and he did very well. I followed the advice of some experienced moms and gave him a full dose of Tylenol a couple of hours before his shots and that seemed to pay off. He slept through his exam and then he did cry during his shots but as soon as I picked him up and cuddled him he was okay, it took about a minute and he was settled back to sleep! He weighed in at 12 lbs 14 oz! So if you ask his dad he is a 13 pounder. He really is a cuttie, and so much fun. He is very animated and loves to tell you his "stories." His favoried word is ooooohhhh. He has been camping a few different times already. First we went to John Day to see Uncle Joe's rodeo, then we went to Vale to see Cousin Tory graduate, and then we went to the Rocky Place for Memorial Day weekend. It was a lot of fun and Braeden loved every minute of it. He is only getting about 1/4 breastmilk, for some reason my supply never has increased. He does fine on the formula though, thank goodness. He is sleeping 7-9 hours each night and has been for a couple of weeks now!!!! We are very excited about that. If you haven't seen him already, give us a call, we love to show him off! Take care.
ME: I was born Karee Francine Vardanega (yes, it's italian.) I grew up in Terrebonne, Oregon. My parents are Joe & Annette Vardanega and I have one sister, Kristin, and a brother Joe, both younger than me. After graduating from Redmond High School in 1998 I started what would be a very short college career at COCC. After a year there I decided not to continue, instead I got my real estate license and began a relatively short career in the real estate business. After a year or so of that I decided that maybe I did want to go to college, so I moved to Monmouth with the intentions of going to WOU. I began working for Bank of America in Salem and never started school. Between the expense of college and not liking the "valley weather"I moved back home. I continued working for Bank of America until Novemeber of 2001 when I began working at Insurance Center in Bend. I got my insurance licenses and have been working at Insurance Center ever since. I have really enjoyed working in the insurance industry. With Braeden's arrival I will not be returning to work in the office, instead I will be able to work mostly from home as an agent. I sell all types of insurance so if you're interested in a quote let me know! I am really enjoying Motherhood, I couldn't have imagined what hard work it takes, it is definitely the hardest job I've ever had, but also the most rewarding. Braeden is so wonderful, our lives are forever changed.
Luke: He was born Lucas Randall Miller (and at times I remind him of all 3 of his names!) His parents are Randy and Jayne Miller. Luke has two brothers Tyrel, and Ethan, both younger. In a tragic car accident on June 12, 2004 Tyrel was killed at only 21 years of age. We miss Tyrel very much, especially Luke. After graduating from Redmond High School (no, we were not high school sweethearts) in 1997 Luke went to work at Brightwood in Madras. He continued working there until November of 1998 when he went to work for Central Oregon Heating and Cooling where he continues to work today. After completing the 4 year journeyman's course in only 3 years, Luke received his journeyman's card in sheet metal application in 2003, I am very proud of him. Luke works very hard at work, and even harder at home. We bought our house together in August of 2000, our first "fixer-upper." WOW! We had no idea. Luke has been dilligently working on this house from day 1. We still have a few little things to finish up but we practically have a new home. He replaced the roof, windows, doors, siding, some walls inside, put up tons of t&g blue pine, finsish trim, interior doors...the list goes on and on. I must say, we have a very nice home! Luke is enjoying Fatherhood and all that it entails. Yes, he does change the dirty diapers!
Karee & Luke: Luke and I started dating in August of 1998, we both worked at Polar Bear in Redmond, he at the gas station and me at the coffee shop (where we both had worked during high school.) We were married at Tumalo State Park on September 8, 2001.
Braeden: Braeden Isaiah Miller arrived on April 1, 2005 by C-Section after 23 hours of labor :) He is our pride and joy. He has grown so fast already. Day by day we enjoy his changes and look forward to all that is to come. Right now his favorite things are eating, sleeping, and of course pooping.
Daisy: Daisy is our almost 5 year old Yellow Lab (dog.) She was my dog before Luke and I lived together but she has taken very well to Luke eventhough he refers to her as the "Red-headed Step Child!"
Molly Dark Island Rum Molly is our 3 1/2 year old Chocolate Lab (dog.) She was a gift from my cousin Angie to Luke. Luke commonly refers to her as "The Tank" because she doesn't like to go around things, she prefers to go through them. Molly gave us a litter of 9 (10 but we lost 1 at birth) puppies in November of 2004. They were really cute, but WOW! Never again! What a handfull.
Rocky: Miller's Black Rocky Mountain is our 2 year old Black Lab (dog.) We purchased him at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Banquet in 2003 after a fun evening filled with a lot of drinks! Rocky is his "daddy's" dog, he doesn't listen to a word that I say. He sired Molly's litter of puppies, he was a very proud pappa!
