The Kirks

Fall has come upon us, and the holidays are approaching fast. The boys surprised Melodie and I with a 20 year anniversary party with the help of many of our friends and family. It was a wonderful surprise and they really did get us good. We had a wonderful evening with the ones that were able to come. Several contacted us later and said they wished they could have been there but it just didn't workout.

Hunting season was not a spectacular event this year not drawing any tags. Tyler and I managed to get one fun weekend in with Gary and Kevin in the jungle of the west side of the cascades.

Jered and I ventured out on a new experience this year and went for a chukar hunt over near Juntura, OR. We saw new country, hiked to the top of some outrageous mountains only to develop a great desire to kill chukars because they think they are smarter than us and we couldn't hit them. Just wait till next year!!! We did however bust some quail and ducks. It was a trip to remember.

Melodie has been busy with her new job. This election season has kept her on her toes. But through it all she really likes her new job and has gotten to travel on some over night trips as well. I think that is one of her favorite parts getting away from us.
