Our Special Day
Our son, Jayden Izrael Ali'i Kia Joyner is finally here. We are a proud family of 4 now.

Aijah loves her new baby brother. She is a wonderful big sister that really takes very good care of her brother. Just a few days ago Jayden was crying his little head off and until he was in his big sisters arms he wouldn’t stop. Aijah has that magic touch that her brother loves.

Starla is the most wonderful mother there is. Her instinct to nurture Jayden is amazing to watch. At first the thought of a baby boy was strange because raising a girl for 9 years wouldn’t be the same. She has it down to a science, when we will wake up, if has hungry, not feeling good, and so on. Man oh man does she love her kids.

As for me this has been an experience of a lifetime. After Jayden was born I sat a thought wow this woman is amazing. I have a new found respect for Starla. As I watched her in labor for close to 16 hours I honestly realized I hadn’t experienced pain. Seeing our son being born is a memory that will never diminish. It’s amazing how you fall more and more in love with your kids each day. Jayden is very close to 11 pounds and 22 inches long. It’s really hard to say who he looks like because sometimes he looks like Starla, sometimes he looks like his sister Aijah, and sometimes he looks like me.
