My Personal Commitment to Providing Your Child with a Qualified Teacher

About Me:
 |
I have a Bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Science: Early Childhood Education from Oregon State University. I also am registered with the Oregon Center for Professional Development in Early Childhood Care and Education out of Portland State University as a Step 10, out of a possible 12 steps, and have three additional Professional Enhancements. I was a Registered Childcare provider from Dec. 2003-Dec. 2005, at which time I accepted infants to 6 year olds. Imagination Station is a Certified Family Child Care, which is the highest level of license attainable for a home setting. I have been a head teacher in a Preschool center in the past: I held this position for one school year. I also have over 800 hours teaching experience from my college internships in three different settings; Montessori, Family Services, and Elementary school. I have my Infant and Child First Aid and CPR training, Oregon Food Handlers, Registration with the Oregon Criminal History Registry, Training on Child Abuse and Neglect, Training for working with some special needs children (I believe ALL children have their own “special needs” which requires individualized mentoring by the teacher) and I am currently working on National Accreditation with the National Association for Family Child Care; a national organization that monitors quality in Family Child Care homes. Please check out NAFCC online. If you have any other questions about my qualifications as your child’s teacher, please feel free to talk with me. I would be happy to elaborate!
