My name is Ms. Nickie and I am the head teacher and director at Imagination Station. My focus here at Imagination Station is to provide a quality, sound, and developmentally appropriate preschool and pre-k education for your child age 2-6. Through a stimulating and carefully planned curriculum, I will strive to meet your child's individual, physical, social, emotional, and academic needs. Your child will learn the importance of sharing, patience, responsibility, decision making, communication, teamwork, and honesty through our daily routines. My curriculum will include things such as arts and crafts, water play, quiet story/sharing/reading, free play, dramatic play, and early science, math, reading/writing. I believe firmly in the importance of "play" for the preschool child, so much of my curriculum revolves around this. Each area of my classroom has been carefully thought out so that play is encouraged and learning happens naturally. I will include daily circle time as a bridge into the play in our day. I believe it is important to allow a child to have choices and to be a part of their education, so while my curriculum includes times that are teacher-directed, there will also be a great deal of time that is child-initiated and my place will take shape as a mentor.
