Anthony Lake Trailhead
Baker Ranger District, 541-523-4476.
Directions: 30 miles from Baker City on FS Rd 73.
Facilities: This trailhead has a bi-level stockramp, toilets and parking. It is the major access to Elkhorn Crest Trail and new North Fork John Day Wilderness Trail. Map

Boulder Park Campground
La Grande Ranger District, 541-963-7186.
Directions: Take State Hwy 203 through Union to Medical Springs, east on FS Rd 67 to FS Rd 77 junction, left on FS Rd 7755 to end of road, 4 miles.
Facilities: 10 campsites, with 1 6x6 pen per site, truck and trailer parking, stock water, loading ramp and hitching rails, RV and Handicapped Accessible.

Indian Crossing
Hells Canyon National Recreation Area, 541-426-4978.
Directions: 42 miles northeast of Halfway. Take St Hwy 86 to FS Rd 39. North on FS Rd 39 to 3960. Follow FS Rd 3960 to end.
Facilities: Bi-level stockramp, toilets, parking, and camping. Access to Eagle Cap Wilderness. Map

Moss Springs Campground

Directions: Take I-84 to LaGrande, east on St Hwy 237 to Cove, take Mill Creek Road east for 13 miles on steep road.
Facilities: 6 horse stalls, loading ramp, hitching rails, 16 camp sites, truck and trailer parking, stock water, but no potable water. Possible to make large loop rides. This is big country, check for snow conditions. Access to Eagle Cap Wilderness. Map

North Fork Catherine Creek Campground and Trailhead
La Grande Ranger District, 541-963-7186
Directions: Take St Hwy 203 south of La Grande through Union, 9 1/2 miles past Catherine Creek State Park, east on FS Rd 7785, go to end of road.
Facilities: Hitching rails, loading ramps, 7 campsites, stock water, but no potable water. Access to Eagle Cap Wilderness. Map

Peavy Trailhead
Baker Ranger District, 541-5234476.
Directions: 40 miles from Baker City on FS Rd 73.
Facilities: Trailhead has a bi-level stockramp, toilet, hitchrail and corral. Access North Fork John Day Wilderness and Elkhorn Crest trails. Map

Two Color Guard Station
Directions: Take St Hwy 203 through Medical Springs, east on FS Rd 67 to FS Rd 77 junction, left on FS Rd 7755, 2 miles.
Facilities: Guard station is on rental system and includes: running water, flush toilets, hot water shower, propane stove and lights, includes kitchen utensils, Sleeps 12. Horse facilities: 3 horse stalls with water, room for 6 to 8 horses. Access to Eagle Cap Wilderness. Fee.

Directions: From Imnaha take FS Rd 4240. Road is steep and rough with sharp turns.
Facilities: Bi-level stock ramp, undeveloped campground, parking. Major access to Lord Flat vicinity and Horse Creek, Lightning Creek, Cow Creek, etc. Map
