Coalmine Hill Park

Directions: 7.32 miles of nonmotorized trail ("Bald Mountain Loop") including historic Smith Ditch and Gibson's Cave, scenic vista of the Columbia Basin, interesting geological features. 23 miles southeast from Heppner along Blue Mountain Scenic Highway. Also access to 8.37 mile (one-way) Copple Butte trail, also nonmotorized, thru Texas Butte roadless area.
Facilities: 4 campsites which may be used for day or overnight use, loading/unloading dock built to accommodate mounting from wheelchair, hitching posts, and 3 accessible picnic sites. Undeveloped camp spots nearby. No fee.

Directions:15 mile trail loop, plus connector trails. 15 miles east of Walla Walla via Mill Creek Road. Trail system shared with other users; moderate motorcycle use on weekends (mostly on the southwest end of the network), low use during midweek. No fee.
North Fork John Day Horse Camp

Directions:38 miles south east of Ukiah. Situated near the North Fork John Day Wilderness, along the Blue Mountain National Scenic Byway, and adjacent to North Firk John Day National Wild and Scenic River.
Facilities: Barrier-free picnic and camp sites, accessible loading/unloading dock. Corrals and hitchrails. Free gold panning area. No fee.
