Higher Ground Vision Statement
AT HIGHER GROUND
We intend to learn how to live lightly on our land through day to day choices of resource use, recycling, and the sharing of vehicles, appliances, tools, food, and space;
We encourage friendships between neighbors and integrate work and play by building and maintaining common facilities for preparing food, sharing meals, gardening, spiritual renewal and relaxing in the natural beauty of our neighborhood;
We intend to honor the rich relationships between people of different generations by providing on-site facilities for child and elderly foster care;
We acknowledge that conflict is inevitable in all human relationships, and we strive to see it as a doorway to intimacy with ourselves and our neighbors through engaging in positive conflict resolution;
We celebrate with food, song, ritual, and sacred intention the rites of passage of our community members;
And we intend to have a remarkably good time!
