Government Offices: FirstGov is the primary portal for US government web sites. GPO Access is maintained by the US Government Printing Office and provides access to documentation published by the Federal government. The Congressional Research Service was created to provide Congress with a source of non-partisan and objective analysis. Information about this service and its reports can be obtained on two web sites: The Library of Congress and the U.S. House of Representatives. The Library of Congress has many other resources for researchers. U.S. Congress: To view the official web site of any US Senator, go to www.senate.gov. For representatives' web sites, go to www.house.gov. These web sites will also provide a record of bills submitted to senators and representatives and how they voted. They also provide contact information, including e-mail contacts. Congress.org is an excellent source of information about politics and politicians in Congress and facilitates communicating to them. This site is also an excellent resource for tracking how politicians voted on issues. Politics and Science: Investigating the Bush Administration's Promotion of Ideology Over Science is part of the US House of Representatives web site and is presented by Representative Henry Waxman (D-CA), the ranking member of the Committee on Government Reform. You'll find election results, history, electoral college debate, and much more! Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington focuses on government officials who sacrifice the common good to special interests.
