National: The Berkeley Electronic Press was founded by academics to address the inefficiencies that characterize the current scholarly publishing model. It is our core belief that mechanisms can be developed to streamline the publication process, creating tangible benefits for authors, editors, readers, and libraries. This site has a reservoir of resources for journalists and others interested in them and the media. The site also has collections of related links to other sites. The Washington Post is regarded as one of the most influential papers in the United States, and it does offer much of value. This site has a collection of links to many military-related web sites. The New York Times is considered by many to be the nation's leading newspaper, but it has a long history of demonstrating human and journalistic fallibility as articles from Editor and Publisher and others indicate: 'The New York Times,' in Editors' Note, Finds Much to Fault in its Iraq WMD Coverage and Orville Schell on our failed press from TomDispatch.com. Progressives and independents will appreciate many of the columns written by Paul Krugman, Bob Herbert and Nicholas Kristof. Roll Call, the newspaper of Capitol Hill. The site's search function can result in articles from its archives. The Hill has extensive coverage of politics in Washington, DC Washington Dispatch provides a range of viewpoints on today's social and political events.
