The Oregon Collaboration is a statewide coalition working to impact state level public policy in Oregon through grassroots organizing which includes participation of residents of Central Oregon. The Collaboration's members include: Oregon Action is a statewide, non-partisan organization dedicated to economic justice for all by building grassroots power. OA works to promote economic fairness by organizing people to build their political skills, leadership and strength. Rural Organizing Project is a statewide organization working to strengthen the skills, resources and vision of primary leadership in local, autonomous human dignity groups in sall town and rural Oregon with living-wage jobs and affordable health care. CAUSA is a statewide, grassroots coalition for immigrants' rights. CAUSA's mission is to advance immigrants' rights and well-being and counter the anti-immigrant agenda in Oregon. Jobs With Justice is a coalition of more than 50 labor organizations and community groups dedicated to protecting the rights of working people and supporting community campaigns to build a just society for everyone. Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon is a statewide association of 17 Christian denominations working with congregations, ecumentical and interfaith organization and people of faith to improve the quality of life for all Oregonians. VOZ: Workers' Rights Education Project works to secure and protect immigrant workers' rights through education, leadership development, and community organizing. The organization focuses particularly on jornaleros or day laborers. Oregon Center for Public Policy is a progressive education and research group that assists Oregonians by expanding the debate on tax and budget policies. The OCPP analyzes a broad range of budget and policy issues with an emphasis on those issues affecting low- and moderate-income Oregonians. |
