Running: Politics, Power, and the Press Harry Lonsdale, now a resident of Sisters, Oregon, took his first steps on a path in 1989 without then realizing that it would lead to his challenging Mark Hatfield for his senate seat in 1992. Harry has written his story of this and other campaigns in which he was involved in "Running: Politics, Power, and the Press." Despite the book exposing much of the deplorable and despicable behavior that is part of our current political process, Harry relates many examples of inspiring people and events that will give readers a great appreciation for candidates that are inspired to run because of the ideals they hold and cause them to aspire to a better America. "Running" will also help readers understand why Harry is such a fervent supporter of campaign finance reform. Harry has also listed in his book organizations that support campaign finance reform and good government. He has also provided a bibliography for further reading on politics and related issues.
