For Expectant Parents Planning to Give Birth in Redmond
LABOR PREP is a low cost "mini" childbirth preparation class for expectant parents with Oregon Health Plan or WIC. This two class series will help you get ready for your labor and birth. Please note that you must be planning to give birth at the Redmond hospital AND have current OHP or WIC to register for these classes.
CLASS ONE : The first class will cover relaxation, breathing and positions for labor that will make you and your labor support partner more comfortable and confident. You will get an overview of a normal labor.
CLASS TWO: This class will explain the birth process and how to effectively push to give birth to the baby. Pain management will be discussed including medication options.
Schedule of Labor Prep Classes: The classes will be held in Redmond on Sunday evenings from 6-8 p.m.
You should register for the class series that is nearest to your due date. Selections include:
*Series One: 12/4 &12/11 2005
*Series Two: 2/5 and 2/12 2006
*Series Three: 4/30 and 5/7 2006
Fee for the Labor Prep Series is $35.00. Ask your doctor for a LABOR PREP sign up form and mail it with payment to Birthing & Beyond PMB 84, 2660 NE Hwy 20 Ste. 610, Bend OR 97701.
