Welcome!
Greetings from the Smith Family! We recently bought our very first, high-tech PC and of course, after a family vote, decided that it was time we had our web page here on the Internet. We're all very excited to introduce you to the Smiths!

| ME: I was born Robert Michael Smith, and my wife sometimes uses all three of my names when she's very angry with me, which is thankfully not that often! I grew up in Athens, Ohio. My home was quite close to Ohio University, as some of you may have guessed. After many a boyhood Saturday in autumn was spent going to football games there, I went to college at the same place, majoring in Business. I met Amy in the fall of my junior year in college (at one of those very same games, Go Team!) and we've been in love ever since. I currently work outside of Akron for a small marketing firm. |
AMY: She'll tell you she's just a housewife, but that's not true at all. My modest darling was born Amy Michelle Doogens, and despite her funny-sounding last name (just kidding, Amy!), she got along as a child just fine. She even won a beauty contest when she was in her teens. Now she volunteers at Red Cross in Akron and is often seen at fund-raising events the city over! What most people don't know about Amy M. Smith is that she is also a talented skier, and won a statewide competition for Hot-Dogging last winter! All right, Amy! |

| OUR KIDS: What can you say about the greatest two children in the whole world??? As many of you probably know from Amy's famous Christmas Letter, Teri (that's not spelled with a “Y,” Uncle Tim… this is the last time we'll tell you!) has recently enrolled at Purdue! We'll miss our oldest Smith-kid, but Teri is awfully excited (maybe TOO excited!) to head off into the big world. Teri plans on studying Chemistry, which won't surprise anyone who knows about Teri's excellent academics at school! And of course Chris continues to make everyone happy with the Trombone. Practicing at night can get tiresome, but with Chris in no fewer than FOUR extra-curricular activities at JFK High School, Amy and I have no problem plugging our ears for that hour every evening when we'd all rather be watching T.V.! |

MONTE: That's pronounced Mon-TEE for those of you who don't know. Everyone's favorite dog is sad that Teri's heading for school, but that doesn't stop her from going after my favorite slippers every day! She's a bad dog, but we love her!
